Have you ever watched How It’s Made?

It’s a great show. And what they do is, in each episode, they take you behind the scenes and show you how everyday objects are manufactured. From start to finish.

They feature all sorts of things: Braille typewriters, wax figurines, jeans, cereals and anything in between. Imagine you get a call from the producer of How It’s Made one day. She tells you they like what you do, they want to film an episode about your business, and she asks you if you’re ok with that. You say yes, and then she says…

“Great! We need you to walk us through how your business works… and help us write the narrator’s part.”

And so, my question to you is… can you do that? Can you clearly explain, step by step, how everything gets done in your business? So that it’s repeatable and gets predictable results?

And I do mean everything…

  • From how you select your target market,
  • How do you get in front of them,
  • How you make them raise their hand to how you turn those prospects into clients.
  • And then make them buy from you again and again and again.

Can you walk somebody through your business like that?

See, the reason I’m asking is…

If you want to grow and scale your business and free up your time. Or if you want to syndicate it or franchise it; If you want to do all and any of those things, you have to be able to get repeatable and predictable results. There’s no way around it.

But the very first step towards repeatable and predictable results is to know exactly how each unit of your business works. And then organize that knowledge into a systemized procedure – a recipe.

In other words, you want to turn your operations into an algorithm that works so well; Anyone just starting out and coming into a new market could take your system, plug it into their own business, and then be up and running successfully in no time.

That’s when you know you have a scale-ready algorithm. And you’re ready to take your business to the next level or have it featured on How It’s Made 😉

We had Ben on the podcast recently, and it was almost exactly like an episode of How It’s Made? with more evil scheming, of course 🙂
